Religious Education and Personal & Social Studies

The Religious Education and Personal & Social Studies Department enjoys excellent teaching base facilities situated in three rooms, two of which are new and adjacent to the Schools Learning Resources Centre.  We have three full time, and one part time, specialist teachers.

The Department is very well equipped and resourced with interactive whiteboards and data projectors in both teaching rooms.  We make full use of the state of the art Learning Resources Centre, which supports the departments use of ICT facilities.  In addition to this we have a dedicated set of 30 laptops for central use.

Core (statutory requirement) : Years 7 to 10

Years 7 and 8 study a multi faith, philosophical and ethical syllabus that meets the Leeds Locally Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education (2015).  The curriculum is divided into RE and Personal & Social Studies topics for core one hour a week groups.
