DofE Bronze assessed weekend commences with over 100 students from Woodkirk Academy - with great weather the groups had a positive first day!
All students arrived at the campsite in good time and set up their tents and all cooked their meals on the trangias. Students were in good spirits as they enjoyed the sun and campsite atmosphere. Hopefully after a good night's sleep they will be ready to kick off their final day on expedition.

Day two and the bronze assessed students set off from Silkstone Scout Camp back to Penistone railway station. Due to the numbers of students, some took the blue route and others took the pink route! With great weather and determination the students made it back and successfully passed their DofE assessed expedition!
We look forward to you all signing up for silver next year!

The silver expedition students set off on day two; a very competitive and determined year group are the year 10 silvers - with the first group arriving back in record time - we weren’t at all surprised!
These Year 10s are proving to be a very good bunch of DogE students who are sure to pass with flying colours in June when they do their assessed expedition in Derbyshire!
