Year 11 Results

Students at Woodkirk Academy are celebrating success in GCSEs and BTECs.

Results, just like in previous years, are really pleasing with attainment figures higher than those achieved in both the last examined year (2019) and in 2021 when Centre Assessed Grades were awarded.

Mr Jones, Principal, said "We have been hugely impressed throughout the year by the attitude of our students, none more so than the Year 11 cohort.  The disruption seen in the past two years did not hold them back and they have demonstrated outstanding resilience, maturity and determination.  I am delighted that they have been rewarded with such fantastic results and we are looking forward to seeing many return to the Sixth Form.  69.9% of our students achieved at least a grade 5 (or more) in English and maths. Our best wishes go to all of our students."

Students in Year 13 at Woodkirk Academy are celebrating once again this year.  Like students nationally, they did not sit GCSE exams in 2020 and they have faced significant disruption throughout their Key Stage 5 studies.  In spite of this, some excellent outcomes have been achieved.

Mr Jones commented “The students and staff at Woodkirk Academy should be proud of the grades that have been attained.  They are the result of a huge amount of hard work, resilience and a commitment to excel in the face of the challenges presented throughout the study towards these qualifications.  I am delighted for our students and I wish them all the very best for the future; I look forward to hearing about their successes.”
