Woodkirk's student, Elliot, is making big strides in the world of photography.
The Year 10 student is currently volunteering as an RSPB ranger. In his role, Elliot is helping to protect the Fairburn Ings Nature Reserve near Castleford, while at the same time using the opportunity to learn more about the vast array of wildlife on the reserve.
He even became a TV star when the BBC cameras turned up to shoot an episode of the popular weekly show, Countryfile. During the programme, Elliot was interviewed by presenter Matt Baker (The One Show).
