10 students from Woodkirk Academy attended the Further Mathematics Feast at Lawnswood School, where they took part in a number of challenges against other local schools.
These activities included: number problems similar to Countdown; a Tetris-like geometrical challenge involving fitting compound shapes together; and a relay activity in which teams used each other’s answers to solve subsequent problems.
They won the award for the best teamwork and overall it was a very enjoyable day!
