STUDENT HANDBOOK

THURSDAY 29 JUNE - Year 6 into Year 7 PARENT (only) Information Evening. 6.30pm until 8.30pm.

Uniform available to purchase / order

THURSDAY 6 JULY - Year 6 pupils are invited to enjoy a day at Woodkirk Academy from 9am until 2.30pm. Further details shared at the Induction Evening.

• Primary school uniform. 
• Wear trainers in case doing PE. 
• Lunch will be provided. 
• Wear sun cream. 
• Bring a bottle of water.

YEAR 6 TRANSITION ACTIVITIES

The resources have been created to help prepare your child for the transition to Woodkirk Academy.

There is a workbook and nine sessions which will cover some big ideas to help them with the transition process.  The sessions focus on thoughts, feelings and emotions and also provide some excellent advice on how they can be successful in their learning.

There are also lots of subject specific activities for them to choose.  These are designed to provide an introduction or sample of the subject.
